Why the term ‘content marketing’ could soon disappear

Why the term ‘content marketing’ could soon disappear

- in Blog, Interviews, News

I spoke to the Business Reporter ahead of The Digital Content Summit 2016 where I’ll be presenting inspiring examples later this month along with latest findings from the Best of Branded Content Marketing (BOBCM) series I curate.

In the interview, I explained how terms like ‘content marketing’ and ‘brand content’ are becoming increasingly meaningless and may have a very short shelf life as all marketing becomes increasingly based around content.

My suggestion is that “a new lexicon” would help to clarify the what distinguishes the different approaches because the various terms being bandied about right now are being used interchangeably and this is only serving to confuse clients. You can read the interview over at the Business Reporter or more about on this theme in his article for Edition Digital last year (see here)
